Man Attempts Committing Suicide After Alledgely Poisoning His Girlfriend To Death

A 35-year-old man named Akwasi is accused of murdering his fiancee after she visited him over the weekend.

Emerging evidence suggests that the young man, a trotro driver, allegedly poisoned the 25-year-old seamstress.

The woman, also known as Martha, resides in Asuoyeboa, Kwadaso Municipal Akwasi, and she visited her fiancée in Atwima Agogo Copas, Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipality, Ashanti Region, on Saturday.

In what appeared to be a suicide attempt, the trotro driver was discovered in his room foaming at the mouth and was taken to the hospital, where he is currently being treated.

According to reports, the driver was depressed because his fiancee allegedly mistreated him and threatened to terminate their engagement.

According to the report, after Martha visited the driver following several disagreements, he [Driver] called his friend and informed him that the woman had visited him.

The chauffeur then handed Martha the phone and instructed her to contact his colleague.

Martha informed them that she could not remain the night because she was required to return home.

The chauffeur then took her phone and informed her that she could not return home.

Martha's family was told that the house she visited had burnt down, but when they arrived, they discovered this to be untrue and discovered that their daughter had died.

It is believed that Akwesi poisoned the drink he gave to Martha and then consumed it himself.
