Menzgold CEO Nam 1 To Appear In Court On June 8th

The case of Nana Appiah Mensah, alias NAM 1, Chief Executive Officer of Menzgold Ghana Limited, who is accused of defrauding customers out of over GH1.6 billion, has been adjourned until June 8.Mrs.

Evelyn Asamoah, the substantive Judge, deferred the case after the police informed the court that they were still awaiting the advice of the Attorney General.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Emmanuel Haligah, representing Superintendent of Police Sylvester Asare, requested a court date.

This is the 34th time in the past two years that the court has heard this case.

The accused have denied the charges, and on July 26, 2019, the court granted him parole in the amount of GHS1 billion with five sureties, of which three must be justified.

Until the conclusion of the case, the court has ordered him to report to the Police every Wednesday.
