Mother Arrested For Dumping Baby In An Uncompleted Latrine

A mother who abandoned her infant in an unfinished latrine was apprehended.

The Bibiani Government Hospital has verified the death of a toddler rescued from an unfinished private latrine.

The infant girl was discovered in Fahiakobo, a suburb of Bibiani within the Bibiani Anhweaso Bekwai municipality of the Western North Region.

Monday, neighbors around the incident site reportedly heard a baby crying from the direction of the toilet and followed the sound to rescue her.

Some residents told Adom News that the infant was bathed and taken to Bibiani Hospital for treatment, but was pronounced deceased later that day.

The Abakomahene of Fahiakobo, Nana Akwasi Addae, stated that the incident was reported to the police, who subsequently identified and apprehended the mother.
