My Effiakuma Love Song Was Inspired By Lydia Forson - Kofi Kinaata

Martin King Arthur, also known in the entertainment industry as Kofi Kinaata, a Ghanaian musician and songwriter, has stated that a tweet from Lydia Forson, a Ghanaian actress, inspired his latest release, "Effiakuma Love."

The renowned highlife performer and actress Lydia Forson once advised him to compose a song honoring Fante women who excel in their careers and other areas.

Kofi Kinaata stated in an interview monitored by The Ghana Report on Asaase Radio, "I recall Lydia Forson tweeting about there not being a song that embodies Fante women who combine education and kitchen work, like a 'obaasima' vibe," .

"The song has a reggae feel because I have vowed not to be restricted or confined. "Music is extremely spiritual; for some of us, this is our raison d'être."

"Everyone mentioned my name in that tweet in 2018 or 2019, so I simply disregarded it. But unconsciously, I was composing song lyrics", he continued.

The accomplished Takoradi musician has released songs such as "Thy Grace," "Have Mercy," "Adam and Eve," "Behind the Scenes," "Susuka," "Confession," and "Never Again."
