NPP Has Digitised Ghana, NDC Took Us Into "Akonfem" Age - Bawumia Mocks Mahama

Bawumia has praised the positive impact the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) digitalization initiative has had on Ghanaians.

On the weekend, he stated at a massive rally in Kumawu that the NPP has transformed Ghana through digitalization, whereas the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has failed to do so.

The vice president insulted the NDC by claiming they brought Ghana into the 'akonfem' period.

"NPP has brought Ghana into the digital age, but NDC brought us into the 'akonfem' age," he mocked.

As an example of the digital advancements the NPP has made to the economy, he stated that Ghanaians can now renew their National Health Insurance status over the phone, whereas this was unthinkable under the NDC.

He also noted that purchasing prepaid credit from ECG is now possible under the NPP, whereas it was unheard of under the NDC administration of former President John Mahama.

Vice President Bawumia stated, in reference to the decline of fuel prices on the Ghanaian market, that "today we have gold for oil and fuel prices are falling."
