No One Can Prevent Me From Voting In NDC Primaries - Kwaku Anyidoho

Samuel Koku Anyidoho
Koku Anyidoho, the former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), asserts that the party's National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, cannot prevent him from voting in the impending presidential and parliamentary primaries.

According to the originator of the Atta Mills Institute, flagbearer and parliamentary elections were scheduled to take place a week from today . I will vote in my former capacities as a national officer and appointee. "I have a new voter identification card, so please have Asiedu Nketia remove my ballot from the ballot box."

When speaking to journalists on the margins of the 10th Eastern Presbytery Synod 2023 at the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana Amenuveve Congregation in Koforidua, the capital of the Eastern Region, he stated this.

The former deputy General Secretary of the NDC stated that the party Chairman has failed to provide proof that he has been expelled and that he remains a bona fide member of the party; therefore, he will participate in the upcoming primaries scheduled for May 13, 2023.

He stated, "Secondarily, I support Dr. Kwabena Duffuor in the Presidential primaries. I am not supporting John Mahama, which is one of the reasons they claimed to have expelled me from the party: "I am not John Mahama's slave, and I refuse to become his slave.

Mr. Anyidoho emphasized that Dr. Duffuor's economic management skills dwarf those of former President John Dramani Mahama.

"As Finance Minister under John Evans Atta Mills, Dr. Duffuor collaborated with President Mills. I worked with him and am familiar with Dr. Duffuor's stance on developing the economy that President Mills established.

He stated, "32, 34 months of single-digit inflation, the introduction of the single spine, the clearing of arrears, Infrastructure expansion, three public universities in three and a half years, and health facilities all over, I believe Dr. Duffuor has the potential by training, by competence, and by experience in both the public and private sectors."

Further, the Founder of Atta Mills Institute implored the Electoral Commission (EC) to take a keen interest in the letter written by Dr. Duffuor's campaign team regarding a fraudulent voter registration list for the upcoming primaries.

According to him, if the concerns raised by Dr. Duffuor's campaign team are not promptly addressed by Saturday, May 13, dire consequences will ensue and the EC Chairperson will be discredited as a bad person or a fraudster.

He stated that despite the fact that NDC Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia is responsible for the 'fraudulent' register, he will turn around and accuse the EC when the issue is brought to light.

Mr. Anyidoho threatened that he will seek a court injunction against the election if the concerns expressed are not resolved by next week.
