PAINFUL: My grandfather impregnated me, Nobody supported me - Lady cries

Most young girls from poor backgrounds or orphaned are not safe anymore because some people out there are ready to prey on them by taking advantage of their situation.

A 26-year-old lady painfully narrated what she had to go through at the hands of her relatives after both her parents died.

She lived with her grandmother after the death of her mom and after finishing high school her aunt offered to stay with her.

At first, the aunt was good to her but after some time, she started mistreating her. Every time they had a misunderstanding the aunt would tell her to go to her other grandfather's place who is a pastor and counsellor in church.

She talked about one of the incidences where her aunt told her to leave her house at night. She begged her to allow her to spend the night and leave the next day but the aunt refused.

Ann left for her grandfather's place that night but when she reached there her grandmother was not around because she had gone to pick up her house help at the bus station.

When Ann went to sleep in one of the bedrooms, her grandfather sneaked in at around 1 am. She was terrified because they were just alone in the house but when she tried to switch on the lights he pushed her and told her to be quiet.

He forced himself on her and her efforts to fight him did not amount to anything because he hit her and she passed out.

When she gained consciousness she found herself naked and raped by her grandfather.

She took a bath and left for her aunt's place crying. When she told the aunt what had happened, she just laughed and acted as if it was not a big issue. This made Ann suspect that the aunt had planned for what had happened to her.

A few months after that day Ann fell sick and when she went to the hospital the pregnancy test turned positive.

She was warned to never take malaria drugs because they would induce abortion among other precautions.

Since she was not ready for the shame of giving birth to a child with her grandfather she went to a different chemist, bought the drugs and took them in two days with the hope that the foetus would come out but it never happened.

She gave birth to a baby girl who is now five years old but no one is supporting her including her grandfather.

Ann tried to report the matter to the police station but the grandfather bribed them and they did nothing to him. She also told some of her relatives about what happened but none of them offered to help her.

She now lives in Juja with her two children. She got the second one with a man who pretended to be a helper but disappeared the moment she broke the pregnancy news.
