PNC Mourns With Mahama Following Son's Death

People's National Convention (PNC) has extended its sincere condolences to Ghana's longest-serving leader, Dr. Edward Nasigre Mahama, on the death of his son.

On Tuesday, May 2, the naval officer son of Dr. Mahama passed away.

"We feel how weak and fruitless our words would be in our attempt to distract you and your family from the loss of your son, but we cannot refrain from offering you the Bible's consolation that nothing happens in this world without God's knowledge and he has a purpose for everything," his party said in a statement on May 3.

"We pray that the God of Abraham will ease the pain of your loss and leave you with only fond memories of your son."

We have learnt that funeral arrangements for Ishmael Mahama will be announced in due time.

The General Secretary of the PNC, Janet Asana Nabla, concluded in a statement, "Again, please accept our deepest condolences, Your Excellency."

In the Fourth Republic, Dr. Mahama has led PNC in a record five presidential elections.
