Piesie Esther Speaks For The First Time After Losing Artiste Of The Year Award To Black Sherif

Not disheartened by my defeat by Black Sherif - Piesie Esther

She had high hopes of winning this year's Vodafone Ghana Music Awards "Artiste of the year, but gospel singer Piesie Esther lost to Black Sherif.

However, she says she is not disappointed because Black Sherif also worked diligently during the year in question.

According to the way3 Meyie hitmaker, all eight artistes who made it into the Artiste of the Year category were deserving because they all met the criteria.

Although the competition between me and Black Sherif was fierce, he triumphed, and I'd like to congratulate him on his victory," she disclosed

Piesie Esther, who won Best Gospel Song and Best Gospel Artiste, was asked if she was satisfied with the awards she received that evening. She responded that she was ecstatic to have won these two awards for the first time in 20 years.

"I've been in the music industry for the past 20 years, but I've never won any of these awards; therefore, earning a major award today is an incredible accomplishment for me, and I am ecstatic. I am thankful. She said, "I want to thank everyone who voted for me."

This year's 24th edition of the VGMA was hosted by Charterhouse at the Accra International Conference Centre's main arena.
