Prez Akufo-Addo Lied and Tricked Voters To Believe He Didn't Need Ghana's Money - Renowned Kumawood Actor

A video of Kumawood actor Oboy Siki criticizing President Akufo-Addo for breach of trust has gone viral on social media.

In the video filmed during an interview with Kofi TV, Oboy Siki accuses President Akufo-Addo of claiming he doesn't need Ghana's money because he's wealthy, only to turn around and cut state funds.

According to him, Otumfuo advised Akufo-Addo not to seek money upon ascending to power, but Akufo-Addo disregarded the advice.

"His Majesty told him that now is not the time to come seeking for money to do anything, but now we know that Akufo-Addo is looking for money to take somewhere without telling us. We were unaware that he desired money." He said.

When asked by Kofi TV why Akufo-Addo needed money, Oboy Siki responded, "Doesn't he have kids, grandkids, friends, and town people that he is pushing the money to?"

According to him, Akufo-Addo was broke but feigned to be wealthy in order to run for president.

"Not every gleaming gleam is monetary gain. How much cash did Akufo-Addo have? What labor did he perform to amass such a large fortune in this country? Those who establish companies that are operational and profitable are considered wealthy. Akufo-Addo had no income-generating commercial ventures. It was his father who ascended to the presidency and built a few homes for the family to share. How would that make him wealthy? He was never wealthy. The veteran of Kumawood explained on Kofi TV.

"Kwasi Nyantakyi was the one who revealed that he had sold his father's properties. Otumfuo advised Akufo-Addo that he didn't need Ghana's money, regardless of whether this is true or not; therefore, Akufo-Addo is not wealthy. What he meant was that you are already an adult and you have no use for the money you are about to accumulate. Perhaps you do a little to position your children, and then you concentrate on the nation." He added.

It is unclear whether the interview was conducted recently or in the past.
