Residents Of Ablekuma-Awoshie In Fear After Being Robbed At Gun Point

Residents of the Greater Accra Region neighborhood of Awoshie Ablekuma Fanmilk (Ten Plot) are currently living in dread as armed robbers continue to terrorize them.

During unusual hours, these alleged gang members assault residents and steal their money and possessions, according to credible sources.

According to reports, the residents have filed multiple complaints with the Awoshie Ablekuma Police Station, but no action has been taken.

Residents have petitioned the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Akufo Dampare, to intervene due to the government's inaction.

One of the victims, who wished to remain anonymous, told Nyankonton Mu Nsem of Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm that he has been robbed multiple times and that his house security systems have not deterred the thieves.

He added that additional residents have fallen victim to the armed robbers, who employ firearms and other offensive weaponry in their attacks.

The situation has induced fear and panic among the residents, who are unable to slumber soundly as a result. Despite numerous complaints prior to 1 May 2023, the police have only recently responded to their petition on that date.

Residents are concerned that local adolescents and other individuals may be conspiring with the robbers to cause havoc in the area. It has been a terrible year for them as frequent robberies have continued to occur.

Residents are requesting that the police take immediate action to resolve the situation and restore the neighborhood's safety.
