Rest in peace: No one deserve to die the way she was killed

Is it possible that you can love someone and picture spending all your life with them, but then wake up the next day with a changed mind? Am asking this because most of the gender-based violence cases that are being reported nowadays have perpetrators who are always the husbands.

You will be very surprised that people fall in love and marry each other, but after some time, things change.

They start fighting like they are the buggiest rivals. Most GBV cases that happen in relationships happen because one of the partners is in denial about being dumped.

A few days ago, we were all shocked to hear that a Venda comedian is suspected of killing his wife, who was found in a toilet pit. Just when we thought we have seen it all, there is another trending story of a lady who was reported missing and now she has been found dead with multiple injuries.

According to the reports, Rorisang was staying with her boyfriend in Mafikeng; her family said they were contacted by one of her friends, who said she has been missing for a while.

When the family contacted the boyfriend, he said he didn’t know where she was because they fought and she left.

A case involving a missing person was opened. Later yesterday, she was found dead with multiple wounds to show that she had been killed.

The family is suspecting that she was killed by her boyfriend since he was abusive. They are calling for the police to seek justice for their daughter.

The police are calling for everyone who might have useful information to contact them.

Gender-based violence seems to be increasing every day in Africa; women are getting killed every day, and it seems like the police are turning a blind eye to this.

It is our responsibility as men to stand up against this ongoing killing of men and women. It can’t be that every day we are gearing up for a new case of a missing child or woman.
