Revealed : It Is Alan's Time But They Want To Cheat Him - Carlos Ahenkorah

The man's name is Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah.
Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah, a member of parliament for the Tema West constituency, believes that it is unethical for members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to consider anyone other than Alan Kyerematen as the candidate to lead the party into the 2024 elections. He says this because he believes it would be a scam.

He says that the party is aware that it is time for the former Minister of Trade and Industry to lead the party; as a result, there ought not to be any one contesting it.

Carlos Ahenkorah is of the opinion that if Alan Kyerematen is not chosen to be the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party for the election in 2024, then there would be conflict within the political party, which will put their hopes of breaking the top eight in jeopardy.

To even imply that there might be someone else to head the NPP in 2024 is a blatant attempt to mislead people. Why is it that when it came to the time of Alan, you guys started doing this? If Alan is not chosen to be flagbearer, there will be divides within the party, which will have an impact on our chances of breaking the eight, as well as our movements to do so. I am aware that delegates of the NPP feel that it is now Alan's turn.

During the time that President Kufour was in power and was advocating for Alan, we did not agree with him because it was not yet Alan's turn. We put in a lot of effort to make sure that President Akufo-Addo was selected for the position. Every government appointee, as well as every member of parliament, was ordered to support Alan Kyerematen, and the same went for the appointees. On the other hand, the people at the grassroots say that if Akufo-Addo has ended his term in office, it is time for Alan Kyerematen, and we the kingmakers will make sure that occurs.

He went on to say that "we should know that Alan Kyerematen is the only choice if we want to win the elections in 2024." When Alan is inaugurated as President, each of us will receive our portion of the inheritance. People who have been appointed by the government are currently in their roles because they want to safeguard their positions. We ought to be given appointments just like they are currently receiving. In the same way that we removed President Kufour and defended Akufo-Addo, we will do the same thing to defend Alan Kyerematen.
