Revealed : Kennedy Agyapong Still Owes NPP $3 Million Dollars - Kwabena Agyapong

Kwabena Agyepong: "I used to cry when I was suspended from the NPP due to lies."
Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, the former general secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has refuted Kennedy Agyapong's claim that he repaid a $3 million loan contracted by the party in 1992.

According to him, $3 million was a substantial amount of money at the time, so it would have been challenging for an individual to conduct such a transaction through a bank.

"I will not boast about my wealth, as others do, claiming they gave $3 million to the party in 1991." In 1991, was NPP in existence? NPP was established in 1992. Under military rule, it is impossible to obtain $3 million from a bank. Mr Kwabena Agyepong told Agnel FM Kumasi.

Throughout his interview, Mr. Kwabena Agyepong did not mention the name of Hon. Kennedy Agyaong, and their dates also differed, but it is clear he was referring to him, as he is the only person who has made this claim.

Mr. Agyepong insisted that the claim by Hon. Ken Agyapong is a distortion of the country's history, so he will not permit this to occur.

He insisted, "I am part of the history of this country, and I will not allow the history of this country to be distorted for political expediency."

Mr. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong disclosed in an earlier interview this year on NET2 TV that he repaid a loan the NPP took during the 1992 general election campaign of their candidate.

"I repaid the debt with interest after eight years, Supper Care Company LTD; it took my company eight years to repay the loan with interest...Three million dollars at the time, plus interest, in 1992. Even today, $3 million is a substantial sum; how much more was it 31 years ago?" Mr. Kennedy Agyapong stated this on NET 2 Television.

However, speaking to Kwame Tanko on Angel FM's "Angel In The Morning" program, Mr. Kwabena Agyepong confirmed that an individual contributed a $50,000 Toyota Land cruiser and $10,000 in cash to the party's campaign, but not Kennedy Agyepong.

He challenged those who doubted him to seek clarification from the campaign manager at the time, who happened to be President Akufo-Addo.

Ing. Kwabena Agyepong emphasized, "President Akufo-Addo was the Campaign Manager at the time, and he is still alive. Go ask him if he received such a sum, or ask Kwame Pianim."
