Robber arrested after attacking a student

It was the end of the road for a robber who was a member of a two-man robbery gang as he was arrested by men of the Lagos State Police Command after attacking a student who arrived in Lagos State from Abuja at around 1:02 a.m., dispossessing him of all his valuables.

The Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, who announced the arrest oh his Twitter handle on Tuesday, disclosed that the two robbers attacked the student in the Ojota area of the state shortly after arriving from Abuja and was heading home.

However, while one of the robbers, whose age was put at 22 years, was arrested, the other escaped when they were being pursued by men of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) who were on patrol in the area.

According to Hundeyin, the robber is currently in custody of the police while efforts are on to arrest the fleeing member of the gang.
