The Ghana National Fire Service remuneration schedule represents the monthly take-home pay of National Fire Service employees. Thus, one's remuneration is dependent on their position. Here is a breakdown of the salaries and ranks of the Ghana National Fire Service.

A National Fire Service Officer in Ghana earns approximately 2,860 GHS per month on average. The lowest salary is 1,320 GHS and the greatest is 4,550 GHS. In addition, they earn an average of 34,300 GHS per year. This monthly salary includes benefits such as accommodation and transportation.

Below are the specific grades of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), from chief officer to junior officer:

As with any disciplined organization, the Ghana National Fire Service has a rank structure that represents the operational and administrative management chain of command.


Its purpose is to ensure order, control, division of labor, and correct communication within the Service. The Service's Rank Structure is as follows:

Chief Fire Officer (CFO) is the highest rank in the Service, and Assistant Divisional Officer Grade Two (ADO II) is the lowest title within the Senior Officers corp.
