The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has reiterated the government's commitment to repairing Sefwi Wiawso's deplorable road infrastructure by the end of the year. Sefwi Wiawso is the capital of the Western North Region.

This was stated during his address to the congregation of the Sefwi Wiawso Diocese of the Catholic Church during the episcopal ordination and installation of the Most Reverend Samuel Nkuah-Boateng as bishop.

"Let me assure the residents of Sefwi Wiawso that the government is committed to completing 30 kilometers of municipal roads in Sefwi Wiawso.

Stabilizing connections, foundational work, and surface work will commence shortly. "The Ministry of Roads and Highways has assured me that the Sefwi Wiawso road will be finished this year," he continued.
