"Good morning" is an appropriate greeting. However, we should not make it available to strangers regularly. This is because a few people may be in a bad mood. additionally, may be irritated upon hearing the word. 

There was a time when I wished a man a pleasant morning and he inquired, "What is pleasant about the morning?" Have you inquired as to why, after welcoming a few people, they do not respond? This is due to the possibility that they are going through a lot. 

Rather than saying good morning, it is preferable to say "hi, I hope you slept well" or "have an amazing day ahead."
