TERRIBLE! A female grade-10 learner and a 26-year-old man found hanged to death inside their house

The police in Giyani is currently investigating that tragic cases that have left the community in shock and disbelief. As of yesterday, Sunday 05 March 2023, two incidents of the inquest and possible suicide were registered.

According to the Giyani SAPS communications officer, the first incident of inquest occurred in the Nkurhi sefansonke village, where a 26-year-old African male was found hanging from a rope under the roof of his house. It was a heart-wrenching scene to imagine the deceased's final moments as he struggled with his demons before succumbing to them.

Sadly, this is not the end of the misery that stuck the community, as another incident took place at Nkomo 22a. In this incident, a 15-year-old girl, who was a grade 10 learner at Mahumani high school, was found hanging from a rope under the roof of her house. It is unfathomable to think of the fear and despair that must have driven this young girl to such a tragic end.

It is clear that these incidents are a reflection of the deteriorating state of society and the breakdown of moral values. These individuals were failed by those around them, and their untimely demise is a tragedy that should never have happened.

The police will leave no stone unturned in their investigation, and the perpetrators of these heinous acts will be brought to justice if it is concluded these deaths are not caused by suicide.
