TRAGEDY : 6 Month Old Baby Found Dead In A Polytank

Six month old baby found dead in a polytank at a construction site in Yilo Krobo.

It is unclear how the incident occurred, but reports indicate that the deceased infant's mother left him in the care of other children while she went to collect water.

The children informed her upon her return that a man had taken up the infant.

The infant was subsequently discovered drowned in a Polytank erected approximately 8 feet above the ground the following Sunday afternoon.

A ladder was used to access the interior of the Polytank in order to retrieve the body.

The police have deposited the body at the regional hospital's morgue to assist with the investigation.

In the mean time, the police have not apprehended any suspects.
