TRAGEDY : Final Year Student Of Takoradi College Drown

According to information received by our sources a third-year Sekondi College (Secko) student drowned at Essel Beach in Sekondi, Western Region.

According to an eyewitness, the incident occurred on Monday, May 1 at approximately 1:00 p.m., when four male students from the institution went swimming at the aforementioned shore.

As they swam, the three companions observed the victim struggling and being dragged deeper into the water by the strong currents, prompting them to call for assistance.

It was too late to save the victim, who was no longer visible in the water when rescuers arrived.

As of the writing of this report, the victim has not yet been located.
