Tiktok Star Who Used To Inspire His Fans Accused Of Stealing Huge Some Of Money

Before Emmanuel Sakyi Afriyie, who is now facing charges of theft and conspiracy to steal approximately GHC 1.2 million in depositors' funds, he used social media, particularly TikTok, to motivate individuals.

The 25-year-old, who had a contract with the bank, compromised its IT systems and promptly stole money from various accounts by transmitting it to mobile money accounts belonging to his accomplices. While doing so, he never failed to motivate others to pursue their ambitions.

"Before giving up, recall why you began. Don't let circumstances force you to abandon something you've invested so much time and effort in. Give yourself an additional day. Give yourself a second chance. "And believe me, you will get there," he said in one video.

In other settings, he reprimanded individuals for thieving from the government, even as the Auditor General attempted to retrieve funds from others.
