Traffic Jam as Vehicle Burns in the Middle of Nakuru-Eldoret Highway

Accidents on the Kenyan highways have been on the rise in the recent past with the government putting the number of those that have lost their lives since January at a little over 3300 people.

These accidents have sometimes been caused by recklessness as well as non-compliance to traffic rules on the part of some motorists on the roads.

This evening, there has been a nasty incident on the busy Nakuru to Eldoret Highway which led to a serious traffic jam on the busy road that left many motorists stranded.

A truck is said to be on fire on the highway at this moment as vehicles pass by it precariously as there are no authorities on the scene yet.

It is unclear as to what started the fire on the busy highway this evening involving a truck ferrying a container.

The incident is happening at a place that is known as Mustard Seen on the busy Eldoret to Nakuru Highway this evening.

The traffic jam on the road has not yet relented as the fire is not being taken care of by any authorities as per the reports that we have with us on the scene.
