Unknown Men Kills 6 People At Bawku During Eid ul-Adha Celebration

Six individuals were fatally shot in the Upper East municipality of Sakpere, Bawku Municipality.

TV3 in Accra has reported that unknown assailants opened fire on Eid al-Fitr attendees before fleeing the scene.

Four victims were proclaimed dead upon arrival at the Vineyard Hospital in Bawku, while two were declared dead at the scene.

Even though the municipality has a strong security presence, the Ramadan week death toll has risen to nine, causing residents to be concerned.

Several locals urged the government and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to take stringent measures to alleviate the situation.

Other residents believed that the high security force should be disbanded if it cannot defend citizens.
