Veteran Musician Gyedu Blay Ambolley Embarks On Europe Tour


Gyedu Blay Ambolley, a renowned Ghanaian highlife/jazz musician with international renown, began his Europe tour with a concert to entertain his admirers in Madrid, Spain.

The tour began in Ghana two weeks ago before traveling to Europe to enthrall tens of thousands of music enthusiasts.

The tour, in which the renowned musician is anticipated to perform in cities such as Spain, France, and others, will be one of the largest from Ghana to ever hit Europe.

Ambolley, best known for his songs 'Simigwa,' 'Adwoa Amissah,' and 'Kwakwa,' is anticipated to use the tour to promote Ghanaian music, his works, and his brand.

The purpose of the tour is to promote and market Ghanaian highlife music in Europe and to bring together key European music stakeholders in support of Ghanaian music.

The tour also aims to strengthen connections with Gyedu Blay Ambolley's fan base and to excite them with his numerous hit songs.

During the tour, Gyedu Blay Ambolley, whose live performances have won the affections of countless music lovers in Ghana and beyond, will treat music fans to an unforgettable live performance.

The veteran musician is internationally recognized as a veteran highlife and Afro-jazz musician in the country.

Over four decades ago, he burst onto the scene with 'Simigwa,' a jazzy highlife style that practically worked its way into the hearts of music aficionados across the nation and beyond.

He is the first Ghanaian musician to integrate rap forms into local highlife rhythms formally.

Gyedu Blay Ambolley has shared the stage with some of the world's most renowned musicians, including Miriam Makeba and the late Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.

He has released 32 albums and received numerous musical honors, including the Lifetime Achievement Award from Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles, California.
