The midfielder of the Black Stars enjoyed a successful year with Ghana and Ajax.

Asamoah Gyan and Mohammed Kudus shared a humorous moment at the Ghana Football Awards, conducted in Accra on Sunday, June 25, 2023.

Following an outstanding season with his club and country, the Ajax star was dubbed Ghana's Footballer of the Year.

Kudus was the best performer for the Black Stars at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, where he scored two goals and assisted on one more.

Asamoah Gyan and Mohammed Kudus shared a jest after he was named Player of the Year.

The 22-year-old played a pivotal role for Ajax last season, netting 18 goals and registering five assists in all competitions for the Dutch powerhouses.

In a video posted to social media, Gyan can be seen encouraging Kudus to take his photos while teasing that he should do so himself now that he is retired.

A week ago, Gyan proclaimed his emotional retirement from football after nearly two decades of play.
