Nii Ashie, the chairman of the Circle Taxi Drivers Association, has criticized Ghana's vice president, Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia, for his propensity to tell falsehoods and jokes.

Speaking on Neat Fm's morning show in response to questions from the host, Akwasi Aboagye, the Chairman was enraged that leaders in this country refuse to stop their lying spree and that a rumor circulating on various online portals that the Vice President met with the National Taxi Drivers Association and promised them an app for their taxi operations is a lie that cannot be ignored.

He asserts that the National Taxi Drivers Association of Ghana does not exist and that the Vice President has never met with any taxi drivers union to discuss any app.

The Chairman, who was extremely dissatisfied with the Vice President's deceit, recounted how Sammi Awuku, the head of the National Lotteries Authority, came to circles to stand on a podium and promise taxi drivers that they would be given taxis for work and pay, which has never materialized.

Nii Ashie believes it is time for leaders to be instructed to show ordinary citizens respect by telling the truth.
