10-Year-Old Boy Electrocuted At Beppoh

Sofo Ampomaah, a 10-year-old student in the fourth grade at Beppoh in the Prestea Huni Valley Municipality of the Western Region, died of electrocution on Saturday afternoon.

Thomas Kofi Enyam, who represents the Beppoh Electoral Area in the Assembly, told OTECNews that the boy was playing with his friends when he touched a live electrical wire on the ground.

He said that the boy didn't know what was going to happen when he put the live wire in his mouth. When he got to the Beppoh CHPS compound, he was said to be dead.

The Assembly Member said that the live wire was a link between two stores that had fallen off and been left alone for a few days. The police have been told about the case, but no one has been caught yet.

The body has been taken to the Bawdie morgue while an autopsy is done.
