14 persons, 22 Cows die in an accident at Kebbi, others seriously injured

In Kebbi State, an accident on the road between Jega and Koko killed 14 people and 22 cows.

Others were seriously hurt in the crash, which happened when a truck carrying people and cows from Illela in Sokoto to Dada village hit a truck that was already there, as reported by The Nation.

SP Nafiu Abubakar, a spokesman for the Kebbi Police, said, "As soon as the report came in, CP Ahmed Magaji Kontagora, the Commissioner of Police for the Kebbi State Command, rushed to the scene and took the victims to General Hospital Koko for treatment."

"CP Ahmed Magaji Kontagora also prayed for the souls of the dead to rest forever and for their families to be strong enough to deal with the irreparable loss."
