19-yr-old boy, 2 others arrested for allegedly abducting 6yrs old cousin for ransom

Abdulrazak Ibrahim, a 19-year-old boy, has been arrested by the Katsina State Police Command on charges that he planned the kidnapping of his 6-year-old cousin in Bachirawa quarters, Kano State.

Aliyu Salisu, also known as Chilo of Sabuwa Unguwa quarters, and Mohammed Ibrahim, also known as Zalamo of Gidan Dawa quarters, both 19 years old, were caught with the suspect. They were arrested around 5 p.m. on January 10, 2023, based on reliable information.

The Command's spokesperson, Isah Gambo, said in a statement on Wednesday, "Nemesis caught up with the syndicate when they kidnapped their victim, Fatima Abubakar, age 6, of Bachirawa quarters, Kano state, on January 6, 2023 at about 1100 hrs and took her to Katsina state, where they demanded N2 million ransom."

When detectives got the information, they went to work right away. Aliyu Salisu, also known as "Chilo," was caught as he was getting the ransom money.
