3 popular actors attacked by armed robbers at gunpoint while returning from set [Video]

Nollywood actor Junior Pope demanded more security personnel after he and two other actors were held up at gunpoint during a robbery.

The actor said they were being pursued by a group of robbers while traveling on a highway after leaving a Regina Daniels' production film set.

He claims he grew suspicious when he noticed a tree trunk blocking the road up ahead, and before he could turn around, he observed the gang charging his car.

According to Junior Pope, he was compelled to strike the vehicle in front of the other actors as a warning of approaching danger, ensuring they sped off to safety.

But his good fortune ran out when one of the criminals found his car and threatened them with a revolver.

The actor informed his admirers in a lengthy video posted on Instagram that they had been asked to hand over all of their belongings, including phones, cash, shoes, and other production equipment.

"They hauled us all out of the car while pointing the gun at my forehead. We were told to lay face down while they searched the vehicle. My luggage, papers, passport—they stole it all.

He disclosed that one of them, actress Georgina Ibeh, was the target of a failed attempt to rape her since she was in the middle of her monthly cycle.

According to him, the most alarming aspect of the crime was the absence of any automobiles or bystanders who could have rescued them. He believes this is the result of them mistaking the crime for a scene from a movie.

The experience has left the actors frightened, as Junior Pope claimed he sobbed uncontrollably when he saw his family when he got home and realized they might have lost him in an instant.
