Adebayor throws support behind Fred Nuamah in upcoming NDC primaries

In the upcoming NDC primaries, Adebayor is throwing his support behind Fred Nuamah.

Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor, a professional footballer from Togo, has ‘thrown’ his support to Ghanaian film director and producer Fred Nuamah in the upcoming parliamentary primaries of the NDC.

Adebayor showed his support by posting a picture of Fred Nuamah's campaign poster on his official Facebook page.

Fred Nuamah, an actor, director and producer, is contesting the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency for the NDC in 2024.

After splitting with Martekor in 2019, the CEO of the Ghana Movie Awards stayed out of sight. But in 2020, he sent a long, heartfelt message to Zari Hassan, the ex-girlfriend of Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz.

Fred Nuamah won't be the first Ghanaian actor to change careers and run for office in Ayawaso West Wuogon.

Actor John Dumelo contested the seat on the NDC ticket in the 2020 general elections, but lost to Lydia Seyram Alhassan of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).



On 13 May 2023, the NDC will hold its hold both parliamentary and presidential primaries

He wrote, “My brother Frederick Nuamah aka @fredericknuamah has officially picked up forms to contest in the Parliamentary Primaries of NDC in Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency. That is equally my home, and I fully support you. Let’s make this happen by the Grace of God.”
