Akufo-Addo steals the show at Hawa Koomson's daughter's expensive wedding

President Nana Akufo-Addo was the chief guest at the wedding of Ama Koomson, daughter of Ghana's Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Mavis Hawa Koomson.

On 11 February 2023, Ama Koomson and Snow Gaisie exchanged vows in a lavish ceremony attended by the couple's families and close friends.

The First Gentleman of the land was joined by other dignitaries and parliamentarians from Ghana.

Akufo-Addo arrived at the white wedding in grand style and was greeted with thunderous cheers as he entered the church.

As the national anthem began to play, the packed audience stood and applauded.

Some Ghanaians have expressed mixed feelings about the footage, while others are thrilled to see the wedding guests, who could have been booing the president, responding positively.

For her wedding, Ama and her beloved husband wore matching dresses.

She wore a long, sparkly white gown for the elegant ceremony, while her husband, Snow, completed the look with a white tuxedo and black trousers.

The wedding comes just over a month after her brother Ato Koomson's star-studded union with his beloved Jasmine Akortus on New Year's Eve 2022.
