Alan Kyerematen Breaks Silence After His Resignation

Alan Kyerematen, the Minister of Trade and Industry, has officially said that he is leaving his job. The news spread quickly on Friday, January 6.

In a short Facebook post, Mr. Kyerematen thanked his family, the New Patriotic Party, his colleagues, the International Community, and the people of Ghana for their help while he was Minister.

He also thanked President Nana Akufo-Addo for giving him the chance to help the people of Ghana and for accepting his resignation with grace.

In an official message, President Akufo-Addo wished the former government appointee well in all of his future work.

The resignation of Mr. Kyerematen is official as of Monday, January 16, 2023.

Because of this, he was going to talk to the public in a few days.

He stated: I would like to thank H.E the President for the opportunity to serve and for graciously accepting my resignation as Cabinet Minister responsible for Trade and Industry, effective 16th January, 2023.

I sincerely appreciate the support from my family, colleagues, my party the NPP, the international community, and the general public during my tenure as a Minister.



I will be addressing the Ghanaian people in the next few days.
