Armed Robbers Kill Policeman After Sighting His Service ID Card

A police officer died too soon after being shot by armed men who were thought to be robbers.

MyNewsGh.com saw a Police Situational report that said Constable Moses Konee, who is about 29 years old, was riding his bike from Ejura to Nzema.

When he got to a place on Ejura Nkoranza Road between Miminaso Number 2 and Nyamebekyere, he ran into a group of armed thieves on the run.

They searched him and found, among other things, a Police ID card on him. So, they shot at him from close range.

When the police heard about what happened, they went to the scene and found nine (9) spent shells, an itel mobile, a pair of slippers, beads, a cutlass, a motor bike ignition key, his Police ID Card, and Ghc 10 in cash.

The Police Officer who was shot from behind at close range was rushed to Ejura Government Hospital, but the Medical Officer said he was dead.

Then, his dead body was taken to the Mampong Government Hospital morgue to be kept, identified, and studied.
