Asiedu Nketia Is A Coup Plotter - NDC Chairman

Alhaji Abdul Rauf, who is the NDC constituency chairman for Tamale South, has said that his National Chairman and General Secretary are coup plotters.

He said that Asiedu Nketia and Fifi Kwetey's decision to get rid of their Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu, his deputy, James Avedzi Klutse, and the Minority Chief Whip, Muntaka Mubarak, is the same as planning a coup.

"Asiedu Nketia and Fiifi Kwetey are plotters of a coup d'état because they are trying to get rid of our people from parliament. After drinking, these people will come back and make decisions that don't make sense. Why didn't they ask the national committee for advice? What a bunch of nonsense! "Asiedu is just a bad person," he said angrily on Adom FM's Dwaso Nsem show Wednesday morning.

The NDC said that Haruna Iddrisu, an MP from Tamale South, will no longer be the Minority Leader. Instead, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, an MP from Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam, will take his place.

In the meantime, Mr. Asiedu Nketia has explained why the party's leadership changed in Parliament.

He said that the change is part of the process of reorganizing the party so that it can win power in the 2024 elections.

"We started reorganizing our structures so that we could be ready to run for office in 2024," he said.
