Banter Alert: Kufuor Teases NAPO About Age on His Special Day

Former President John Agyekum Kufuor had a lighthearted conversation with Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, affectionately known as NAPO, on the occasion of the minister's 55th birthday. In a video message, President Kufuor playfully challenged NAPO, joking about his rapid progress in age. He mentioned that if NAPO was born in 1968, he would now be 54 or 55 years old. President Kufuor advised NAPO to take things slowly and wished him a happy birthday.

NAPO, a prominent member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), holds a medical degree and was a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of the United Kingdom from 1999 to 2003. He pursued his studies in Human Biology and Medicine at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, with post-graduate studies at the Netherlands Institute of Health Sciences and the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Currently, he serves as the Member of Parliament for the Manhyia South Constituency in Ghana's Ashanti Region and holds the position of Minister for Energy.

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh was born on May 23, 1968, in Pakyi Number 2, located in the Ashanti Region. Before entering politics, he served as the CEO of Keyedmap Security Services Limited from 2004 to 2009.
