Beautiful Baby Dies After Father Threw Her To The Ground

Del'Shawn Banks, who is 23, is said to have admitted to killing his 7-week-old daughter. Banks killed the baby when she shook her and dropped her on the floor. According to a report from the Lexington Herald-Leader, Banks' disgusting confession came after she took the baby to a pediatrician's office for treatment of her injuries.

When staff at the pediatrician's office saw how sick the baby was, they reportedly called the police. When the police got there, the child was not making any sounds. She was then taken to Norton Children's Hospital, where doctors found that she had a broken skull and "other injuries consistent with abusive head trauma." Later that day, the baby died at the hospital from her injuries.

After Bank was arrested, the baby's father reportedly told police that he had shaken and dropped the baby. Her autopsy showed that the baby's injuries were caused by the things that Banks said happened. The death was ruled to be a murder by the medical examiner. Banks was charged with killing someone in a domestic situation. During the father's court appearance, a $250,000 cash bond was set.

Local news station WDRB says this isn't the first time Banks is accused of hurting Del'Luna. Cortney Jones, the baby's mother, who is 23 years old, also said that Banks was a bad partner. She said that their relationship of a year and a half had been hard. Jones was in the hospital at the time of the event because she had problems giving birth.

"I was waiting to be rolled back to my room in a wheelchair when I got a call that my baby wasn't breathing and was crying, and so was the dad," Jones said. "It makes me sick and disgusted," she told WLKY.

She explained, "It hurts so much because she was my rainbow baby." "You want to spend a long time with your child and make memories, but I've only been with mine for two months. That's not nearly enough," Jones said. "How can you harm your own child? How can you hurt someone that looks just like you? A piece of you, your blood, sweat, tears, and everything else you are. How do you do that?"

Jones said that she and Banks had broken up before the fatal accident. The young mother feels she should have left sooner. Jones has given a warning to other mothers who are in the same situation. She tells them to leave before it's too late, which is something she wishes she had done.

Jones said, "If it starts before the baby is born or if it happens while you're pregnant, it will continue after the baby is born." "It will happen whether we want to face the truth or not," she said. "The person can tell you that they're going to get better. "They can tell you they will get help," she said. "They can make you believe all these lies and make it seem like they will come true. They can make it look like things are getting better, but they're not."
