Biblical flooding In Saudi Arabia As King Prays For Rain

After a few dry spells, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud told the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to pray for rain. However, it looks like they prayed a little too hard.
After the king of Saudi Arabia prayed for rain, the country was hit with biblical floods.

Early this week, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud asked the people of Saudi Arabia to pray for rain.

The King, who is also in charge of the two holy mosques, told his people to "supplicate Allah almighty" and ask for "forgiveness and repentance" because it hasn't rained in a while.

He also told them to pray for rain and do "good things and help others."

On Tuesday, the official order came from the Royal Court (November, 22).

The sky opened up just 24 hours later, but in the most dramatic way.

Waves of water several feet high werehed cars off roads in the cities of Jeddah, Rabigh, and Khulais, according to videos posted on social media. The Saudi Gazette said that schools and universities had to close because of the devastating floods.

This month, students were in the middle of taking their end-of-year tests, which have now been put off.

Civil Defense even told people in the country to "be careful and stay away from stagnant rainwater and valleys."

And the rain was so bad that the road to Mecca, which is the holiest city in Islam, was shut down, which doesn't happen very often.

Just before the storms, it was said that "light to heavy rain and strong winds were expected," but it looks like the people of the Kingdom prayed extra hard for rain, and they got an ocean's worth of it.

Strangely, the country is now supposed to have normal 27C weather, even though the rain seems to have left as quickly as it came.

The BBC's weather service says that tomorrow, November 25, will be very hot, with temperatures of 29C and only a 1% chance of rain.

The rest of November and the first few weeks of December are not expected to have any rain.
