Black American Filmmaker Spike Lee Storms Ghana for Visit – Video

Prominent American movie producer and director, Shelton Jackson, who is more commonly known as Spike Lee, has recently arrived in Ghana.

According to reports, he made his way to the country on March 27th, Sunday, and his visit coincides with the upcoming three-day visit of the Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris. It is rumored that Lee is a part of the US Vice President's creative arts team.

Upon arrival at the Kotoka International Airport, he was welcomed by the 'Beyond The Return' team and the CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Kwesi Agyeman. The welcoming party included traditional dancers and fans who were elated to see the famous filmmaker.

Annabelle Renee, the Director of the Beyond The Return secretariat, expressed her excitement at welcoming Spike Lee to Ghana, stating that more African Americans were making the trip to connect with the country.

Spike Lee is known for his cinematic work that touches on social and political issues, including race relations, media's role in society, urban poverty and crime, and many more. Some of his acclaimed films include Malcolm X, Da 5 Bloods, BlacKkKlansman, Inside Man, among others.
