Blow By Blow Account Of How Ani Was Arrested By The Police In His Hideout

So, there's some news about the viral video of police officers being abused at a galamsey site in Axim, Western Region. The prime suspect in the video is a guy named Kwame Ato Asare Ani, who's 21 years old, and he's been arrested along with two other guys, Williams Kwofie (17) and Emmanuel Kojo Bronie (17).

They were caught in a community called Boinso near Enchi in the Western North Region, after a member of the community spotted them at a drinking spot and informed the police. The police had been looking for Kwame Ato Asare Ani after the video went viral and he went into hiding.

When they were interrogated by the Enchi Divisional commander, they admitted to being the ones who attacked the police officers at the galamsey site over some monetary issues. The police found some items on them including talismans, rings, keys, mobile phones, and cash totaling GHC1,211.00.

The suspects are currently in custody and the Axim Police have been informed so they can take necessary action. One of the suspects managed to escape and the police are pursuing him. Also, an ex-convict who was harboring them has been arrested. That's the latest update!
