Boy Who Built Free Wi-Fi Device Fears For His Life After Being Attacked By Thugs

On 6 February, armed men attacked Stuward Nankhumwa, a 17-year-old Malawian student who invented a WiFi device, at his home.

Recalling the incident, Stuward Nankhumwa said the men attacked him to find out how he created his WiFi device.

The minor said he was unable to do so because of his trauma. They then assaulted him, leaving him with bruises on his face.

Stuward Nankhumwa claims that the attackers' threat to kill him if he did not reveal the device's development process made him fear for his life.

Police in Zomba are currently searching for those who hacked a 17-year-old boy who gained notoriety last week for making a WiFi device.
