Catholic Priest Shares Photo Of Virgin Mary Statue ‘Bleeding From The Eye’

A Catholic priest said that a statue of the Virgin Mary in Lagos shed bloody tears.

Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Ehioma, also known as Fada Mentor, posted a picture of a statue of the Virgin Mary that was bleeding from the eye. He said he heard that this happened at Lagos's St. Joseph's Catholic Church Agodo Egbe.

His post went viral right away and started a debate. Many people accused him of idolatry and told him that what he said couldn't be true.

In a follow-up post, he said that the Catholic Church would first look into such things because the Church doesn't just believe everything.

He also said that this was done to stop hoaxes, which have happened in the past.

But he told those who disagreed with him to respect the beliefs of others even if they disagreed with them.
