Cheating ends in joy as two men peacefully exchange wives

After being found guilty of infidelity, two men used a rare marriage-swap tradition to amicably exchange their wives.

The middle-aged Kenyan men mutually decided to swap spouses to resolve their problems.

Even more surprising is the reason why Kevin Barraza and Christopher Auma swapped their wives, Lilian Weta and Immaculate Nekesa.

Claiming to be on the "road to recovery", the spouses were happy to make the switch when a team of media representatives from Afrimax TV visited them.

It all started, according to Lilian, "when I discovered that Kevin was in love with another man's wife and that he was never committed to his responsibility of taking care of our house".



She claimed that she was happy with the circumstances until the fateful evening when her husband brought his lover, whom he described as his cousin, to live with them.

When challenged, her husband Kevin replied that she was free to live with the mistress's husband because he was "grieving like a widower" because his wife had been kidnapped.

Lilian claimed that in an effort to compromise, she followed her husband's instructions and went to Christopher's house to inform him of the situation.

"When I arrived, I informed him of everything that had happened, including his wife's engagement to my husband. Christopher startled me by immediately asking me if I wanted to live with him. I also asked him if he would welcome me with my children, and he said yes.

"Let those who think they are the best live together and let those who say they are bad live together," was Christopher's only choice.


And so they did, exchanging spouses amicably and living together peacefully for a long time.

After the incident was reported to the police, both wives agreed to return their wedding ornaments and continue their relationship with their new husbands.

The couples have signed a bond promising not to remarry their former partners, whatever the circumstances, and their children are also aware of the marriage exchange.

When asked about their satisfaction with their new partners, Kevin and Immaculate said they couldn't care less about Lilian and Christopher's relationship.

Both families are happy with the choices they have made and are happy with their current partners.
