Check Out 17-Year-Old Ghanaian Midfielder Ten Hag Has Called To Training Camp In Spain

He is likely to play for Manchester United against Cadiz and Real Betis in La Liga before going back to England for the start of the English and European seasons.

Kobbie Mainoo, a young midfielder from Ghana, will go to Spain with Manchester United to train. The Red Devils' manager, Erik Ten Hag, has put him in the team.


The 13 players who are taking part in the 2022 FIFA World Cup have already joined the rest of the team in Andalusia.

But there are still a lot of experienced Reds on the trip, as well as some exciting young players who will learn a lot from working together for a week in a warmer place than Manchester in December.

And Mainoo is one of the exciting young players whom the Dutch tactician has given a chance.


The teenager was born in the Greater Manchester town of Stockport to Ghanaian parents. The Old Trafford club has said that he is a great player with a lot of creativity.



Mainoo joined Travis Binnion's Under-18s team in 2021 and did well the whole season, showing great vision and technical skill in the middle of the field.



After a week in Spain, the United team will go back to Carrington and keep working toward their next game, which will be against Burnley in the Carabao Cup at Old Trafford on Wednesday, December 21. (kick-off 20:00 GMT).

Six days after that, on Tuesday, December 27, Nottingham Forest will come to M16 to play in the Premier League (20:00 GMT). The end of this calendar year will be a trip to Molineux to play Wolverhampton Wanderers on New Year's Eve (12:30 GMT).

The 17-year-old has been training with United's first team, and he has now been added to the club's Europa League B squad.
