Kennedy Agyapong, the flagbearer candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, has stressed the need for Anas Aremeyaw Anas to publicly apologise to each and every one of his victims.

He claims that Anas has ruined families and individuals with his ‘illegal’ investigations and must be made to publicly apologise to all those he has wronged for his personal gain.

When a High Court judge in Accra dismissed a lawsuit filed by controversial journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas against Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong, he told the media.

The triumph is for the victims of Anas, he declared, the decent citizens of the nation that Anas has destroyed. All those who lost their jobs or died as a result of Anas' illegal investigation should be compensated.

He must apologise to his victims because compensation is not enough. I say to Ghanaians today that we must have the courage to speak the truth in this nation.

Only in this nation will a crook like Anas go around smearing people to make money. Only in this nation will a journalist go and testify with his face covered.

A Supreme Court judge from my district confessed to me his guilt in passing judgement on his colleagues. He could not accept the fact that three people had their faces covered, he had no idea who Anas was, and yet the judges had found his colleague guilty.
