Chiefs invoke deities to find killers of pregnant girl at Assin Nsene

In the farming community of Assin Nsene, located in the Assin South District of the Central Region, the chiefs and residents have conducted a traditional ceremony in response to the tragic death of a 15-year-old girl who was five months pregnant.

The young girl was brutally murdered on March 8, 2023, with her head severed. The community has invoked the river god, Asuo Sika, to spiritually hunt down and bring to justice the perpetrator of this heinous crime, who is believed to be hiding in the bush.

The chief of the community, Nana Adjei Okopa I, expressed his frustration with the traditional justice system, which he believes takes too long to deliver justice. As a result, he has taken the initiative to call upon the river god to expedite the process and bring the perpetrator to justice.

Nana Okopa I stated that the community cannot sit back and wait for justice to be served, as delayed justice is denied justice. Therefore, they have decided to take action and play their part in bringing the perpetrator to justice.

Despite concerns from some people regarding their decision to employ the services of the gods, the community's leadership is focused on achieving results and bringing closure to this tragic event.

The most important thing at this moment is justice for the young girl and her unborn child, and the community is committed to doing everything in their power to ensure that the perpetrator is brought to justice.
