Christian Atsu’s One-Week Observation Set

A week of remembrance for Christian Atsu will begin on 4 March.

The one-week observation for the late Christian Atsu will begin on 4 March at his family's home in Ada.

Atsu's family, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Ministry of Sports discussed the decision at the player's home.

Deputy Sports Minister Evans Bobie led the group of GFA and Sports Ministry officials who came to console the family.

As planned, Christian Atsu Twasam's body arrived at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) on the night of 19 February.

The body of the former Black Stars winger was brought from Istanbul on a Turkish Airlines flight in a coffin draped with the national flag.

When the body arrived at the KIA, the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), the Tsawam family, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the government were on hand to receive it.
