Contempt Case Crumbles: Court Clears Ablakwa of Rev Kusi Boateng's Claims!

The High Court has dismissed the contempt case against Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the MP for North Tongu. The court found that the evidence presented by the plaintiff, Victor Kusi Boateng, had inconsistencies and doubts, and did not meet the legal standard of proof beyond a reasonable doubt.

The General Secretary of the NDC, Fifi Kwetey, expressed relief that the truth had prevailed and stated that the case was an exercise in futility. He believed that the attempt to restrain and imprison Mr. Ablakwa for allegedly kicking court documents was an attempt to stop the truth.

The contempt summons was filed by Rev Kusi Boateng, Secretary to the Board of the National Cathedral, who sought to have the MP restrained and imprisoned. He claimed that Mr. Ablakwa had kicked a writ being served on him by a court bailiff.

However, the court did not agree with the plaintiff's claims and threw out the application. It's unfortunate that people who do what is right have to go through such a process, but we can all be glad that justice has prevailed in this case.
