Court Delivers Justice: See What They Did to Fraudster Who Posed as COP Yaa Tiwa

In a significant ruling, the Accra Circuit Court One has handed down a severe sentence of eight years of rigorous imprisonment to a Nigerian individual for engaging in an act of impersonation on social media, pretending to be COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, and deceitfully swindling unsuspecting individuals. The convicted offender, Bright Daniels, had already been serving a prison sentence at Nsawam Prisons when he committed this crime. Throughout the trial, Daniels vehemently denied the charges brought against him, but the court, after careful consideration of the evidence, found him guilty.

According to the court proceedings, it was revealed that Daniels had an accomplice in this fraudulent scheme, Livinus Amadianaeze Ugwu, who is also a Nigerian and a former convict. However, Ugwu is currently at large and remains a fugitive from justice, evading arrest.

The court's decision to impose a substantial prison term on Daniels serves as a stern warning to potential offenders who may consider engaging in similar acts of impersonation and fraud on social media platforms. It highlights the serious consequences that await those who exploit the trust of unsuspecting individuals for personal gain. The authorities will continue their efforts to apprehend Ugwu and ensure that justice is served in this case.
